Conn Masters’ Adult Learn to Swim Kick-off Event
August 8-9 at Velo-CT, Norwalk CT
Conn Masters is kicking off our free Adult Learn to Swim (ALTS) program starting with our kick off event at Velo-CT in Norwalk CT on August 8-9, 2026. The ALTS program is for adults who have moderate to zero prior swimming experience, or have a fear of the water and wish to learn the basics of swimming. They will be taught how to float, breath while swimming, and arm movement with kicking.
Our instructors work with small groups of three or fewer swimmers who have similar comfort levels in the water. Our instructors are in the water with the students, demonstrating, assisting, and encouraging each swimmer to progress at their own pace. Lessons are free and provided by Connecticut Masters, a local masters swimming committee of United States Masters Swimming (USMS).
To be eligible for our sessions, you must be over 18 years old and a beginner swimmer. To learn more about how to register, provide us with your name, email address, and your experience level. All participants must register for the free-30 day membership of United States Masters Swimming (USMS).
